Gangsta Boo was found dead inside a Memphis home on January 1, 2023, at the age of 43, reported by local network Fox13. A statement from her family said, “The Mitchell family would like to thank everyone for their condolences regarding the untimely death of Lola ‘Gangsta Boo’ Mitchell. The family is asking for your continued prayers and privacy as we process the loss of our loved one.”

The rapper, born Lola Chantrelle Mitchelle, was a prominent female lyricist from Memphis. She was even nicknamed “The Queen of Memphis.” The star was one of only two female members of the hip-hop group Three 6 Mafia.
